The North American based automaker Ford has brought the new Fiesta ST to the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show, where the model has made its North American debut.
After announcing its debut during the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show a few days ago, the Ford Fiesta ST is ending up in our news once again, this time with the carmaker bringing the model to the automotive event. Ford says that the hot hatch will get a three-mode stability control, with standard, sport and off settings and the sound symposer, used on its bigger brother, will pump engine sounds into the cabin.
The new Ford Fiesta ST will get the Aston Martin-like front grille, the dual exhaust pipes, the ST specific cues, the rear spoiler and the 17-inch alloy wheels. Power to the Ford B-segment hatchback is being provided by a 1.6 liter I-4 EcoBoost engine, which is producing a total output of 197 HP at 1,600 rpm and a peak torque of 214 lb-ft, available from 3,500 rpm. The unit is mated to a six-speed manual transmission, but an automatic will be launched later on. The new Ford Fiesta ST will arrive in showrooms sometimes next year and more details on it will be announced close to its launch.
