Ford Focus RS gets 1,500 orders in the UK image

The brand new Ford Focus RS has received no less than 1, 500 orders from the United Kingdom.

Ford has really hit jackpot with its new Focus RS and thanks to the impressive performance of the hot hatch, and to the clever marketing as well, the vehicle is off to a really great start. Coming to back up this statement is its success in the United Kingdom where no less than 1,500 orders for the model have been placed so far. Out of these, 500 have been placed during the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show and 1,000 more between the German even and now.

“These enthusiasts are taking great care in building their optimum specification. We expected those first in the queue, many of whom are owners of previous RS models, to be exacting about their requirements, and so it has proved, with many opting for motorsport-style Recaro shell front seats, 19in black forged alloy wheels, luxury pack, electric tilt/side sunroof and Ford SYNC2 navigation and sound system”, says the chairman and managing director from Ford of Britain, Andy Barratt.

In the United Kingdom, the new Ford Focus RS can be yours from 28,940 GBP. For the money, you will get a 2.3 liter EcoBoost four-cylinder turbocharged engine, the same one used on the Mustang as well, which is rated at 350 HP (257 kW) and 440 Nm (324 lb-ft), in this case, or 470 Nm (347 lb-ft) with overboost. The hot hatch is dropping the front-wheel drive instead of an all-wheel drive and a launch control system, allowing it to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill in just 4.7 seconds.
