Rudolf, Santa’s red nosed reindeer, clearly needs a great ride while he’s off duty from the sleigh – and in case he decides to visit the United Kingdom soon we’ve found the perfect ride for him.
It’s the UK-exclusive new Red Edition of the Ford Focus RS – while it’s not necessarily related we can’t help but notice the similarities to usual Christmas spirit. Anyways, the defining feature for the EcoBoost machine is of course the Race Red exterior hue, doubled by a few other features – the contrasting black roof, side mirrors, and spoiler, along with the availability of the Quaife limited-slip differential.
Ford’s Great Britain unit has decided to prepare a mere 300 examples of the Red Edition, priced from 36,295 pounds sterling, with production starting next February. “As RS production nears its end, we wanted to celebrate with a limited run of cars for those who want to stand out as an RS fan,” commented Andy Barratt, managing director and chairman at Ford of Britain. The Quaife mechanical differential is also tangled with the standard Dynamic Torque Vectoring that can direct up to 100 percent of the available torque to any of the rear wheels in a mere 0.06 seconds.
