The first rendering with the recently unveiled Ford Focus RS is coming in and it is showing us how the model may look like in yet another body style.
Years ago, we wouldn’t have thought at a Ford Focus RS in a wagon body style but things have changed and the competition is already offering something similar, such as the Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG Shooting Brake or the Volkswagen Golf R Estate, so the development of such a model may be just a couple of years away from happening.
The two images posted below are simple renderings of the model but they might provide us with a first look into what it may look like if it will get green lighted. From the start, we can notice the similar end to its hatchback brother and the aggressive rear end, which is making it instantly recognizable. Chances are, if the company decides on putting it into production, that the only different thing will be the rear end.
Ford says that the brand new Focus RS is taking its power from the same engine found on the mid-range Mustang EcoBoost, the 2.3 liter four-cylinder unit, which, in this case, is producing a total output of 315 HP (235 kW). The company hasn’t provide any torque or performance details on the hot hatch for the moment and chances are these will be made public during the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, next month, when the model will be officially presented.
