A new report is indicating that the anticipated Ford Focus RS will be officially presented to the public in Detroit, during the automotive event, next month.
The brand new Ford Focus RS is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the help of a new report, which is suggesting that the hot hatch will be officially presented to the public next month, during the 2015 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), in Detroit. According to the guys from Edmunds, besides the hot version of the Focus, the company will also introduce the brand new F150 SVT Raptor at the same event.
Rumor has it that the new generation of the Ford Focus RS will be using the same engine as the mid-range Mustang, the controversial 2.3 liter four-cylinder EcoBoost. In the muscle car, the unit is capable of producing a total of 305 HP (227 kW) and 406 Nm (300 lb-ft) of torque but in the hot hatch, this is believed to be even more powerful, coming in at approximately 325 HP (239 kW) – 350 HP (275 kW). The new Focus RS will be riding on a new platform and it is said to maintain its front-wheel drive.
