Ford Focus ST driving event launched in the United States image

Ford Motor Company has announced that consumer drive events for the Ford Focus ST have been launched in the United States.

According to the car manufacturer, the Ford Focus ST driving event has been launched in five major cities across the United States including New York, IZOD Center (June 30), Washington, D.C., FedEx Field (July 14), Boston, Gillette Stadium (July 21), San Francisco, Candlestick Park (August 4) and Los Angeles, Dodgers Stadium (August 11).

“Our fans have expressed extremely high interest in this car, but we know the proof is in the pudding. We want ST fans, as well as drivers of competitive vehicles, to be able to taste this car firsthand. What better way to do it than to bring the car to the people with the help of professional driver instruction on closed courses”, said the Ford Focus ST marketing manager, Lisa Schoder.

The 2013 Ford Focus ST is being powered by the 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbo engine, which is producing 250 horsepower and it has a peak torque of 265 lb-ft. The hot hatch’s unit is mated to a six-speed manual transmission which is allowing the Ford Focus ST to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 6.5 seconds, before reaching its electronically limited top speed of 155 mph.
