Ford has the GT configurator live, starts taking in ownership requests image

The second largest US automaker has decided that its flagship GT supercar needs to start finding its prospective owners so the online configurator has been turned on and applications are being currently accepted for review.

All those interested in the 2017 GT need to visit the new FordGT.com address and if they have the money to purchase one can even fill out the ownership application. The automaker hasn’t talked much about the new application process but as far as we now from recent reports the brand will be looking to find out through a set of different questions details about the prospective owners – including how active the potential owner is on social media, how often they plan to drive the car and how many Ford cars have they owned previously. Customers will need to pass a review process in order to move on to the Ford GT Concierge Service and only afterwards will they be able to finish the purchasing process. The finished product will then be delivered at a dealership of the owner’s choice.

Ford hasn’t released yet the final technical details of the 2017 GT and as far as we know there will be available eight different exterior hues and seven types of stripes. Other than that, the carmaker has also announced pricing kicks off in the mid $400,000 range – and then the owner will also add the destination and delivery fees. Those unable to afford the price of the 2017 GT can still play with the configurator at the address.
