During the same event that featured the official premiere of the new, seventh-generation Fiesta subcompact, Ford also announced the European-only Mustang Blue and Black Shadow special series.
The Mustang Black Shadow Edition and Mustang Blue Edition both come with custom styling bits and a more upscale interior for the legendary muscle car. The Black Shadow Edition will only be available when ordering the 435-horsepower (324-kilowatt) Mustang GT as an add-on package. Unlike the name suggests, there’s more than one color option – Platinum White, Triple Yellow, Race Red, and Grabber Blue – and comes with a black Pony emblem on the grille and the 19-inch Y-spoke black wheels. There’s also a dissolve-effect black striping theme on the hood bulge and side sills. The interior gets black leather heated and cooled front seats with accent stitching, alongside a premium ShakerPro audio system with 12 speakers and an eight-inch trunk-mounted subwoofer. An eight-inch touchscreen display will feature Ford’s SYNC3 infotainment system.
The Mustang Blue Edition, on the other hand, is a tribute to the iconic ‘Grabber’ colors first seen on the Mustang in 1969. This one can be had on the GT or the EcoBoost version and comes with an iconic Grabber Blue paint, 19-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels, and central dissolve-effect black striping on the hood and roof. Go for the GT trim and the Black Shadow perks – black leather heated and cooled seats, updated SYNC3 system and eight-inch touchscreen display – are also present here.
