The second largest US automaker has recently presented the all new Focus Red and Black Editions in Europe – acting as an expansion of the German-market Focus Sport Edition.
The two new special editions have been developed based off the Focus hatchback and wagon. First off, the Focus Red Edition comes with an eye-catching Race Red paint and has been adorned with contrasting Panther Black roof, black mirror caps and black grille surround. Meanwhile the Focus Black Edition switches the colors and has a Panther Black hue with contrasting Race Red roof, red mirror caps and red grille surround. The limited runs share the bespoke Panther Black 18-inch alloy wheels, a black grille as well as the Race Red diffuser element under the rear bumper. Inside the cabin we’ll be able to find Race Red stitching for the driver and front passenger sports seats, stainless steel sports pedals, new floor mats, or a leather steering wheel.
The platform of the Red and Black Editions has been enhanced through the use of a standard sport suspension with ten percent hardened front and rear springs, modified shocked absorbers as well as an optimized front anti-roll bar looking to deliver better grip and turn-in handling. The engine bay will house a wide choice of engines: 125 PS 1.0-litre EcoBoost, 1.5-litre EcoBoost with either 150 PS or 182 PS while the diesel side is represented by the 1.5-litre TDCi with 120 PS and the 2.0-litre TDCi in the 150 PS version; with all engine options assisted by the six speed manual gearbox.
