The Ford Motor Company has announced that more than 20.000 trucks and SUVs will be recalled in the United States because a defective switch that can cause failing in the brake lights, tail lights and turn signal.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) the recalling will affect some 2004 – 2011 Ranger pickups, 2002 – 2005 Excursion SUVs and 2002 – 2007 F-250, 350, 450 and 550 models.
Besides the 20.450 trucks affected in the United States, Ford is also recalling more than 6.000 switches sent to dealers as replacement parts.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Ford Motor Company haven’t received any complaints yet regarding the switches and no accidents or injuries have been caused by this problem.
The car manufacturer will notify owners and dealers about the recalling and the replacement of the part will be free of charge.
