For has announced the introduction of a new engine for the 2015 Kuga in the United Kingdom, the 2.0 liter TDCi diesel burner, which is now more powerful.
The 2015 Ford Kuga is now coming with a new engine in the United Kingdom, the 2.0 liter TDCi, in a more powerful version. Considering the fact that 95 percent of all Kugas sold by Ford in the United Kingdom, in the first nine months of the year, have been with the 2.0 liter TDCi turbo diesel, the company has decided to offer a more powerful version of the unit. According to the carmaker, the unit is now capable of producing 180 HP (132 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque.
This is significantly more than the unit’s previous output, which stood at 163 HP (120 kW) and 340 Nm (251 lb-ft) of torque. Power is being sent to the wheels through a manual transmission or through the PowerShift automatic. Besides the updated 2.0 TDCi unit, Ford is also offering the 1.5 liter EcoBoost on the Kuga, with 150 HP (110 kW) in FWD manual and 182 HP (134 kW) in AWD automatic, along with a 150 HP version of the 2.0 TDCi with FWD manual or AWD PowerShift.
