Ford launches limited 50th Anniversary Le Mans edition for all its performance models image

The Blue Oval is very proud of its Le Mans heritage, especially for its triumph at the 1966 edition, when it hit several records.

Race and lap records, an average speed of over 200 km/h and first three places on the podium at the 1966 Le Mans endurance race. All these achievements were made 50 years back by a Mk II GT40 driven by Bruce McLaren and Chris Amon. Therefore, some celebration is in order. Ford is introducing a limited run of 50 units of each of its performance models, the Fiesta ST, Focus ST, Focus RS and the Mustang V8, all models painted in Mica Black Shadow finish and with racing stripes.

Each such special edition comes packed with exclusive features. As an example, the 27,200-euro Fiesta ST gets for this occasion a Performance Pack, which includes red brake calipers, 17-inch five-spoke alloy wheels and illuminated door sill plates, and a Parking Pack, as well as electrically-folding mirrors, automatic headlights and windscreen wipers and cruise control. The prices can go up to about 47,100 euros for the Mustang special edition muscle care.

But there is more to it. If you hurry up to place an order for one of these celebratory performance Ford models before June 17, you will have the chance to take part in raffle for VIP ticket to this year’s Le Mans Classic and, the most exciting gift by a mile, the once in life time opportunity to drive on the legendary track on board of one of the 50th Anniversary models.
