The second largest US automaker is an important automaking presence in Romania, being the second local producer thanks to its investment at Craiova where it makes the B-Max and the award winning EcoBoost 1-liter engines.
The first couple of FrodStore locations have been implemented in Bucharest, the country’s capital, at the Business Development Team and Tiriac Auto dealerships. The FordStore concept might be crucial to Ford soon, with the automaker ready to have 200 such locations throughout Europe by the end of the year and around 500 very soon. The showroom concept comes with a new buying and after sales experience, but more importantly the FordStore branded dealers are the only ones allowed to deliver to the customers the iconic Ford Mustang in Euro-spec and the upscale Vignale subbrand.
The latter is among the first exponents of the mass-market automakers reaching a bit more upscale – and will compete with the likes of Initiale Paris from Renault on the continent. The first model to take part in the Vignale offensive is the company’s regional flagship sedan – the Mondeo Vignale. There will be four such autos bearing the Vignale signature, including the S-Max large MPV. To make it all more clear we’re dealing with a personalized experience, each FordStore will have its own Vignale Lounge, an area dedicated to the subbrand, while each Ford Vignale owner will afterwards enjoy the presence of his own „Relationship Manager”, or the availability of the Vignale One Call, which is a customer relations call center available 24/7.
