Ford might give up the future Focus RS to develop the Fiesta RS image

The North American based automaker Ford is planning to give up on developing the future Focus RS in order to produce a high performance version of the Fiesta, which will also be named the RS.

The Ford Focus RS, the most powerful version of the Focus ever made, might not get a successor because Ford is currently working on a Fiesta RS version, which will be chosen by the company instead of its larger brother. Ford is apparently in a deep financial crisis because the 2015 Mustang looks more like a facelift than a muscle car based on the Evos Concept and now the news that the future Focus RS won’t get a successor and the company will develop the Fiesta RS, has hit the web.

There is no official on this subject from the car manufacturer just yet, but the guys at are saying that these rumors have started with Jost Capito leaving for Volkswagen, where he must develop the future Polo R. Sources within the Ford’s Special Vehicles Team are announcing that the Focus RS has been put on hold and the officials are going back to the drawing board in order to develop the Fiesta RS, a future rival to the Clio RS, the Corsa OPC,the Polo R and the DS3.
