Ford Mondeo and S-MAX with 240PS launched in Malaysia image

The Malaysian division of Ford has recently announced that the Mondeo and the S-MAX, with their new EcoBoost engine, have been launched in the Asian country.

According to the North American based car manufacturer, the Ford Mondeo equipped with the all-new 2.0 liter EcoBoost engine has a starting price of RM193,888 on the road with insurance. The powerful version of the Ford model is getting a full Titanium body kit, made out of front, side and rear skirting, a new front grille and a new design for the 17-inch alloy wheels. The cabin of the Mondeo hasn’t been left aside either and this has been fitted with Alcantara and Nappa leather for the seats and doors, a Sony audio system with nine speakers, which is replacing the previous eight-speaker audio system, and USB connectivity.

Besides the Ford Mondeo, the Ford S-MAX, equipped with the same engine, has also been launched in Malaysia, where the people carrier can be bought from RM198,888, on the road with insurance. Unlike the Mondeo, the Ford B-MAX is only getting a panoramic sunroof, but the engine is probably enough to attract more customers into the model. The 2.0 liter EcoBoost unit is developing a total output of 240 PS at 6,000 rpm and it has a peak torque of 340 Nm available between 1,900 and 3,500 rpm.
