New renderings with the 2015 Ford Mondeo are surfacing these days and they are showing the model in yet another body style, that of a Shooting Brake.
After being officially introduced on the Old Continent, and not only, last year, the new generation of the Ford Mondeo is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the help of a couple of renderings, which are showing us how the model may look like if the company will decide to produce it in a three-door Shooting Brake version, besides the already available three body styles.
Developing a Ford Mondeo as a Shooting Brake means losing much of its functionality and practicality, but you will be ending up with a more appealing vehicle, which will remind you of an Aston Martin attempt at the Ferrari FF, judging by that appealing grille. Keep in mind that the two images posted below are renderings and they have been signed by X-Tomi Design.
The new generation of the Ford Mondeo, the fifth one, has been introduced back in 2012, but for various reasons, it was offered on sale in 2014. The vehicle was unveiled at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, in 2012, and it is currently being produced in Almussafes, Valencia, Spain. The engine lineup includes five EcoBoost petrol burners, including the award-winning 1.0L, and six diesel units, which can be connected to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
