A couple of renderings with the new generation of the Ford Mondeo is showing us how the model may look like if the North American based automaker will decide to give it a try.
Hot hatches are something Ford is good at, as it already has the Fiesta ST and the Focus ST, along with a hotter Focus RS in the works. But what if the same treatment would be applied to the popular D-segment vehicle, the Mondeo? This question has been asked by X-Tomi Design too, as the three renderings posted below have come to life.
If it will indeed hit the production line in the nearby future, the Ford Mondeo ST could be using the 2.3 liter EcoBoost engine, which is borrowed from the Mustang and also used, in a higher output, in the upcoming Focus RS. Some chassis tweaks will be made too and a body kit will be added to the vehicle. However, Ford has no intention of putting such a model into production so a Mondeo with an ST badge on its body seems like a pretty dream for the moment. However, you can still check out the renderings posted below.
