A one-off version of the new Ford Mustang generation has been officially unveiled by the North American based automaker as this has been called the Apollo Edition.
The Ford Mustang Apollo Edition is the newest model added to the popular muscle car range and this has been recently unveiled for the 2015 EAA AirVenture Oshkosh. According to the car manufacturer, the model in question has been designed in order to support the Experimental Aircraft Association’s youth aviation programs and it has been inspired, obviously, from the Apollo program.
“The Ford Apollo Edition Mustang salutes man’s greatest technological achievement, with the ingenuity, precision, and power that defined the spirit of American innovation,” said Edsel B. Ford II, a member of the Ford Board of Directors. “Inspired by the Apollo program, Ford Motor Company committed itself to including exhilarating power, cutting-edge technology, and extraordinary craftsmanship in this automobile, which will support the next generation of pilots in EAA’s aviation education programs for young people.”
The brand new Ford Mustang Apollo Edition is coming with the visible changes which include the white body scheme along with the black accents. The model is also bringing the USA graphics, the American flag decals, the black finished hood, roof and trunk, the black front splitter, the black rear wing, the black and white finished multi-spoke wheels covering the red braking calipers and the red side mirrors. No additional details on the vehicle in question have been announced so far but this will be offered for sale on the 23rd of July, 2015, at the Exclusive Auction EAA’s Gathering of Eagles.
