Ford Mustang Boss 302SX Concept unveiled in Florida image

The newest model to join the Ford Racing family is the Ford Mustang Boss 302SX Concept which has been recently unveiled at the Performance Racing Industry Show in Orlando, Florida.

The Ford Mustang Boss 302SX Concept will follow the FR500C, the Boss 302R, the Boss 302S and the Mustang Cobra Jet drag car into Ford’s lineup, and, with its School Bus Yellow color option, the model is irresistible. Ford says that the Boss 302SX isn’t street legal and it’s actually following the tradition of other Ford Racing Mustangs, being developed for road racing.

According to the North American based automaker, the 2013 Ford Mustang Boss 302SX Concept is powered by the same 5.0 liter V8 engine found on the Boss 302R, but the 302SX is coming with an improved engine oil cooler, upgraded fuel system from the Boss 302, Ford Racing mufflers, Torsen limited slip differential and enhanced cooling system. The six-speed manual transmission is also shared with the Boss 302R.

The 2013 Ford Mustang Boss 302SX Concept is also coming with a front and rear coilover suspension package, adjustable front and rear stabilizer bars, tubular control arms and caster/camber adjustment plates, Brembo braking system, uniquely calibrated ABS system from Ford Racing and a fresh set of lightweight alloy rims, 18×9.5 inch in size, wrapped in race tires. The interior hasn’t been left aside and it has been stripped out, making room for the Recaro racing seats, the fire suppression system, data recording system, six-point racing harness, quick release steering wheel and the FIA spec six-point roll cage.
