Ford Mustang EcoBoost with 500HP going to SEMA image

Ford has officially announced the debut of a 500 HP Ford Mustang EcoBoost at the 2014 SEMA Motor Show.

Two more Ford Mustangs, which will be officially presented to the public at the 2014 SEMA Motor Show, have been recently unveiled. The first one, the Full-Race Motorsports Mustang, has been created to compete in the SCCA events and in time attack challenges, coming in with Brembo braking system, with a coilover suspension, adjustable dampers, adjustable anti-roll bars, limited slip differential, carbon fiber front splitter, FIA approved racing seats and some other tweaks to help it stand out.

The model in question is taking its power from the 2.3 liter four-cylinder EcoBoost engine, which has been equipped, in this case, with the FreakoBoost performance package. This means the added turbo downpipe, exhaust manifold, intake, intercooler, catback exhaust system, oil cooler and a larger twin scroll BorgWarner turbocharger, enough for an extra 190 HP (141 kW) and 311 Nm (230 lb-ft), to a total of 500 HP (373 kW) and 609 Nm (450 lb-ft). The Classic Design Customs Mustang Outlaw has been based on the Mustang GT Convertible and it will also be unveiled at SEMA, with its revised grille, different shocks and springs, Wilwood brakes, 20-inch alloy wheels and 625 HP 5.0L V8 engine.
