Ford has recently announced the arrival of the Ranger 2.2 XL Manual in Malaysia, where the model can be bought from RM79,888 on the road with insurance.
According to the North American based automaker, the Ford Ranger 2.2 XL Manual is getting a fixed vane turbocharger and it’s lacking the standard “goodies” of the XLT version, like the ABS, Brake Assist, EBD, dual airbags, Load Sensing Proportionate Valve and more. The “new” Ford Ranger 2.2 XL Manual is coming with a choice of four colors in Malaysia, the Black Mica, the Highlight Silver, the Cool White and the Metropolitan Grey.
The Ford Ranger 2.2 XL Manual is coming with a double-cab layout and with all-wheel drive, being powered by a 2.2 liter Duratorq TDCi engine, which is producing less than the XLT, 125 PS and 320 Nm of torque, compared to the 150 PS and 375 Nm of torque from the more expensive version. No automatic transmission option is available for the Ranger 2.2 XL and the model is only getting a six-speed manual transmission. Prices for the Ford Ranger 2.2 XL Manual have been set at RM79,888 on the road with insurance, in Malaysia.
