Ford Ranger T6 launched in Malaysia – starts at RM89,888 image

Ford has officially announced that the new T6 Ranger has been launched in Malaysia, where the pickup can be bought starting at RM89, 888.

According to the North American based automaker, the Ford T6 Ranger is available in Malaysia in two variants, the 4×4 2.2L XLT with a manual and an automatic transmission and the 4×4 3.2L XLT Wildtrak. The Ford Ranger T6 is 5,359 mm long, 186 mm longer than the old one and with a class leading wheelbase length of 3,220 mm. Ford says that the T6 Ranger has a wading depth of 800 mm and it can haul up to 1,333 kg, but that’s not all it can do because the maximum tow rating is 3,350 kg. In order to demonstrate its incredible torque and towing ability, the Ford T6 Ranger has pulled a bus at its launch.

The new Ford Ranger T6 is available with a choice of two engines, the 2.2 liter TDCi Duratorq turbo diesel, with its 150 PS and 375 Nm of torque in the 2.2 XLT and the 3.2 liter five-cylinder unit which is developing a total output of 200 PS and 470 Nm of torque in the Wildtrak. Two transmissions are available for the two engines mentioned above, the six-speed manual and the six-speed automatic.

The Ford Ranger T6 is coming with a lot of interesting items like the Bluetooth with Voice Control, the rain sensing wipers, the auto headlamps, cruise control, 4.2 inch color display, dual airbags, integrated control panel, 23 storage spaces, lockable glove box big enough to house a 16-inch laptop and much more, while the Wildtrak is adding a cooled console, leather inserts, roof rails, 18-inch alloy wheels and more.
