The Ford Ranger Wildtrak has been officially unveiled by the “blue oval”. The model in question has been designed to appeal to customers who are looking for a slightly more rugged vehicle as it has been equipped with the unique exterior design, with the dark liquid metallic gray accents, the sports hoop, the fog lights and the exclusive 18-inch alloy wheels, amongst others. As far as the color choices go, buyers will be able to choose between the Metropolitan Gray, the Pride Orange, the Black Mica, Aluminum Metallic and Cool White.
The interior design of the pickup truck has been carried over but it is bringing several updates which includes the unique upholstery, the soft-touch dashboard with the orange accent stitching, the shadow chrome air vent surrounds, the SYNC 2, an 8-inch display and several other goodies. The engine lineup of the new Ford Ranger Wildtrak includes the 2.2 liter four-cylinder Duratorq TDCi diesel engine, which is capable of putting down a total output of 160 HP (118 kW) and 385 Nm (283 lb-ft) of torque, or the larger 3.2 liter Duratorq TDCi five-cylinder unit, capable of coping with 200 HP (147 kW) and 470 Nm (346 lb-ft) of torque. This is connected to a six-speed automatic transmission and it has a four-wheel drive system with an electronic locking rear differential. Ford hasn’t announced its plans at the time for a global launch of this model.
