Ford Sollers Plant Celebrates the 5,000th Ford Transit image

Today, July 4th, Ford Sollers plant in Elabuga celebrated the 5,000th Ford Transit that rolled off the production line.

The celebrated Ford Transit is a Frozen White all-metal van with a 2,2 l, 125 p.s. diesel engine, a long wheel base and medium line of the body. The Ford Sollers plant in Elabuga began production of Ford Transit vehicles in January 2012. The car comes with Global Puma 2.2.l diesel engine 100, 125, 155 p.s., but in Russia the model is available in the following options: Single cab, Double cab, Bus, Kombi, Van.

“The production of the 5 000th Ford Transit in Tatarstan is an important achievement of Ford Sollers team, and an important event for the whole region. It is important that we have reached the first anniversary number just in half a year after the start of vehicles assembly at the Elabuga plant. Ford Transit is the first vehicle which opens the road for a full cycle production of other Ford vehicles in Tatarstan,” declared Adil Shirinov, Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer, Ford Sollers.

Since the Transit went into production it has been the embodiment of an efficient and reliable vehicle used for freight service. Over the years, the constant use of technologies made the Transit become the best in its class. In Russia the model is available in different versions, with chassis with a single and double cab, a low, medium and high roof, and minibuses with a small and medium height of the roof.
