The official website of Ford Spain has published some info on the recently unveiled Focus RS and the 350 HP (257 kW) are being confirmed.
Ford is currently keeping the official performance figures of the recently unveiled Focus RS into the shadows at this time but that doesn’t mean that we cannot find out from other sources that the new hot hatch is actually more powerful than originally announced. This has been made public recently by the Spanish division of Ford, which has posted on its website that the new Focus RS is getting no less than 350 HP (257 kW). According to a spokesman, this figure is not exactly correct because the car is still in its testing phase.
The new generation of the Ford Focus RS is one of the most awaited hot hatches of the year, along with its main rival, the new Honda Civic Type R. The vehicle in question has been officially presented to the public a couple of weeks ago, during the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, in a world premiere. This is instantly recognizable as an RS thanks to its aggressive body kit. We also have to mention the 2.3 liter four-cylinder EcoBoost found under its hood, which is the same one used on the mid-range Mustang’s new generation. The maximum torque figure will stand at more than 433 Nm (320 lb-ft). All this power is sent, for the first time ever, to the all-wheel drive system.
