The North American based automaker Ford has recently announced its plans to offer the 1.0 liter EcoBoost engine on the Tourneo Connect too.
According to the car manufacturer, the B-segment utility vehicle owned by Ford will receive another engine option, which will be the award-winning 1.0 liter EcoBoost. The announcement has been recently made by the carmaker and it comes right ahead of the model’s official launch, which has been scheduled for the second half of this year. Besides the impressive 1.0 liter EcoBoost, the Ford Tourneo Connect equipped with this engine will also receive the auto start / stop feature, the braking energy regeneration or the active front grille.
The 1.0 liter EcoBoost, which will make its way under the hood of the new Ford Toureo Connect, will come in the 100 HP form, and this is expected to become the best-seller in the whole lineup, considering the fact that the average fuel consumption should indicate 5.6 liters burned every 100 km. Besides the 1.0 liter EcoBoost, the Ford Tourneo Connect will also receive a 1.6 liter TDCi Duratorq engine, and a 1.6 liter EcoBoost, with 150 HP. Both units can be mated to either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission.
