The very first details and images with the all-new Transit Connect Wagon have been recently released by the North American based automaker.
After being announced since more than a month ago, the all-new Ford Transit Connect Wagon is finally here and the company says that the model is getting sliding side doors, a third row of seats, a fold flat second and third rows, a side hinged cargo doors, rear liftgate or symmetrical choice and a 1,200 pound plus payload.
“Transit Connect Wagon gives young families and people on the go the fun-to-drive and efficient vehicle they’ve been looking for. It’s an all-new, smaller seven-seater that has better mileage than larger vans and creates a segment of its own. Customers also will love the unique combination of style, adaptability and affordability this wagon brings”, said the Ford of Americas president, Mark Fields.
The Ford Transit Connect Wagon is being offered with two wheelbase lengths, in either five- or seven-passenger configurations, and in three trim levels, the XL, the XLT and the Titanium. A choice of two four-cylinder engines will have to be made by the future customers of the model, the 2.5 liter and the optional 1.6 liter EcoBoost, which is estimated to deliver over 30 mpg on the highway. Both units are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The price of the new Ford Transit Connect Wagon is expected to be announced later on this year.
