Four new VW Up! concepts going to Geneva image

Volkswagen has recently announced that four new Up! concept cars will be officially presented to the public at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, the Swiss Up, Winter Up, X Up and Cargo Up.

According to the German based automaker, the Swiss Up has been designed to pay tribute to Geneva and Switzerland and the model is coming painted in the red and white colors of the Swiss flag. VW says that the cabin has been finished in “ceramique” trim, which is going just well with the leather styled also in “ceramique” in the rear head restraints, outer area of the seats and the middle of the rear bench seat. The seat surfaces have been “covered” with brown Alcantara.

The Volkswagen Winter Up has been based on the four-door Cross Up concept car, which was originally shown at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2011, and the model has been designed for winter sports, with a snowboard carrier on the roof rails. The Winter Up is also coming with ESP and it’s available in two colors, Pure White and Malibu Blue.

Moving on to the X Up, which has been designed as a “go anywhere” model, which is coming with robust side panels, roof box with integrated searchlights and underbody guards for the front and the rear end. VW says that this concept car is also based on the Cross Up and the model has the potential to enter production. The X Up has been painted in Burned Orange Metallic, while its bumpers and roof box are finished in Anthracite.

Last but not least, the Cargo Up has been made as a delivery van, offering 1,400 liters of space. The model is coming with the entry-level 50 BHP engine, and it’s weighing 929 kg, being able to transport 426 kg. More details on the new Volkswagen Up! Concepts at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.
