Renault has announced the official starting price of the brand new Clio RS 220 Trophy on its local market, France, as the model is currently available for order.
After it has been officially presented to the public a couple of months ago, in a premiere, during the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, the Renault Clio RS 220 Trophy is being highlighted once again, this time with the carmaker announcing its official starting price on its home market. According to the company, the sub-compact hot hatch can be ordered from 28,900 euros, VAT included, and it is getting standard features such as the satin-effect chrome finish for the gear lever base plate and air vent inserts, carbon-look air vent surrounds and door trims, heated leather sports seats with integral headrests, embossed leather trimmed steering wheel and more.
The new Renault Clio RS 220 Trophy is also coming with the RS Monitor on-board telemetry system, but as an option. The supermini has received a larger turbo, a new intake system, a revised exhaust system to accommodate the Euro 6 catalytic converter and a new engine mapping, applied to the 1.6 liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. Thanks to these, the total output produced by the unit stands at 220 HP (162 kW) and 260 Nm (192 lb-ft) of torque, available at 6,800 rpm. This is 20 HP and 20 Nm of torque more than the regular Clio RS. Power is sent to the FWD through the updated EDC transmission and the vehicle is riding on 18-inch Radical alloy wheels with Michelin Pilot Super Sport 205/40 tires. No performance info has been made public yet.
