Seat has celebrated the world premiere of the new 2014 Leon ST, which has been officially unveiled during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.
The new 2014 Seat Leon ST is coming with a 587-liter cargo room, which can increase up to 1, 470 liters with the rear seats folded. The model in question has the same wheelbase length as the five-door hatchback but this is the more practical version of the model, considering the fact that it is 270 mm longer. Its total weight has also increased by 45 kg (99 lbs).
The 2014 Seat Leon ST will be offered with features like the full LED headlights and taillights, LED daytime running lights, adaptive cruise control, full beam assist, multi-collision brake, lane keeping assistant and much more. The FR models will get the DCC adaptive chassis control, with three modes. The engine choices which will be available for the new Leon ST will include the 1.2 liter TSI, producing 105 HP (77 kW), which will be offered for the entry-level version, along with the 122 HP (90 kW) 1.4 TSI and the 180 HP (132 kW) 1.8 TSI.
Those of you looking for a diesel will get the chance to order the 1.6 liter TDI with 105 HP, the 1.6 liter TDI with 150 HP (110 kW) and the 2.0 liter TDI with 184 HP (135 kW). Power will be sent to the front wheels through a five-speed or a six-speed manual transmission. There will also be a dual clutch six- or seven-speed DSG. No pricing details have been announced yet.
