The concept version of the new Ford S-Max generation has been officially presented to the public, in a premiere, during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.
Ford is planning to storm the market with the new generation of the S-Max, but until that model will be ready for its customers, the company is testing them with a concept version based on the MPV. With vehicles in its segment not being very attractive, the carmaker is currently planning to make the second S-Max generation more appealing and some of the design features currently seen on the concept will eventually make their way onto the final production variant.
From the start, we can notice the Aston Martin inspired front grille, the raked windscreen, the swept back LED headlights, the curved roofline, the muscular fenders or the metallic accents. The cabin of the model can accommodate up to seven people and it has a high positioned instrument panel, carbon fiber imitation on the seats, the Intelligent Protection System on the board, which can detect pedestrians and automatically apply the brakes in case of a collision, the Dual-View Display and some other tweaks. Rumors are saying that the second generation of the Ford S-Max will hit the market in 2014.
