The Lamborghini Gallardo Squadra Corse has been officially presented to the public, in a premiere, during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.
Originally unveiled a few weeks ago, the brand new Lamborghini Gallardo Squadra Corse LP570-4 is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the carmaker pulling the wraps off its body during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. The supercar in question is based on the Gallardo Super Trofeo and it’s coming with features like the carbon ceramic brakes, the quick release engine cover, the prominent rear wing and some other tweaks, which will help it stand out from a crowd.
The Lamborghini Gallardo Squadra Corse has an Alcantara wrapped dashboard, lightweight racing seats and carbon fiber trim in the cabin. The total weight of the supercar stands at 1,340 kg (2,954 lbs), being actually 70 kg (154 lbs) lighter than the Gallardo LP560-4. Power to the Lamborghini Gallardo Squadra Corse is being provided by a V10 engine, which is producing a total output of 570 HP (419 kW). The unit is mated to a six-speed e-gear transmission which is sending power to the all-wheel drive system. The 0 to 100 km/h sprint takes 3.4 seconds and top speed stands at 320 km/h (199 mph).
