The more interesting version of the Mercedes-Benz CLA45 AMG, the so-called Racing Series, has recently made its public debut during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.
Originally unveiled just a few days ago, the new Mercedes-Benz CLA45 AMG Racing Series is the race-spec version of the CLA, which has been designed to compete in series. The model in question is coming with a race-spec suspension with wider front and rear tracks, adjustable suspension level, spring rate and damper characteristics, an AMG braking system with ABS and ventilated disc brakes, a front and rear apron, flared wings made from carbon fiber, side sill panels and so on.
The Mercedes-Benz CLA45 AMG Racing Series is also getting a racing steering wheel with shift paddles, Recaro bucket seat, fire extinguishing system, a steel roll cage, wide racing tires and more. Power to the impressive CLA45 AMG Racing Series is being provided by a 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine, which will get variable technical specifications, depending on the race series and rules. The output and gearbox are variable and the standard front-wheel drive can be replaced with an all-wheel drive. Additional details on the model, including its price list, remain unknown for the moment.
