Frankfurt: New Kia Soul revealed
After we presented the first official details of the new Soul about a month ago, Kia has finally unveiled its model at the Frankfurt Motor show so now we have some extra pictures of it too.
The new Soul is coming with an updated exterior design of the front fascia, like the new headlights, taillights, fog lamps, side mirrors and LED accents, along with some interesting new technologies which will please its future customers.
The Korean automaker says that its new Soul will be available with a 1.6 liter engine which is delivering 140 BHP and 122 lb-ft of torque at 4.850 rpm, with a CRDI diesel option of another 1.6 liter unit, producing 128 BHP.
The new Soul will be available in European markets with a choice of the new six-speed manual or automatic transmission and its future customers will be able to get the optional EcoDynamics pack too, that features the start / stop technology and alternator management, which will cut down CO2 emissions to 125 g/km for the diesel and to 139 g/km for the petrol unit.
Kia says that its new Soul is 15 mm longer than the previous version to a total of 4.120 mm and the car is now sitting on a new set of 18 inch alloy wheels.
The new Kia Soul is scheduled to hit the UK dealerships next month, however its prices haven’t been announced yet.
