W Motors has recently decided to tease its upcoming all new Fenyr SuperSport model packing more than 1, 000 PS that should have its worldwide premiere in front of the audience present at the Dubai Motor Show starting next week.
The UAE-headquartered W Motors has been made famous across the globe through their spectacular appearance with the Lykan HyperSport that jumped between three skyscrapers in the latest Furious 7 installment of the long running action franchise. They are now back with a second model that should this time around focus on “performance, power and speed” – dubbed “Fenyr SuperSport”. We have noticed the second name goes down a notch from hyper to super sport but we’re not imagining the new Fenyr will sit below the Lykan as a more “accessible” option. Anyways you should imagine this one would be able to jump through even more skyscrapers – only 25 units have been planned and each would be fitted with a bespoke design from RUF – the model should be good for more than 1, 000 PS (735 kW). The powertrain has not been disclosed yet but a normal choice would be to work on the twin-turbo flat-six 3.7-liter that delivers 770 PS (566 kW) and 1,000 Nm (737 lb-ft) in the Lykan HyperSport.
Judging from what we can see in the teaser pictures we can imagine carbon fiber was the material to go for the Fenyr SuperSport and thus we can safely assume the model would be lighter than the 1,400 kg (3,087 lbs) HyperSport. The latter was good for a 2.8 seconds sprint to 100 km/h (62 mph) and a top speed of 239 mph (385 km/h) – thus we believe the Fenyr will top those numbers thanks to the lower weight and higher output.
