The next generation of the Nissan X-Trail has recently leaked in patent drawings and the images posted below are offering us a first glimpse into the new model.
The Japanese based automaker Nissan has big plans for its future models and with the new Qashqai getting ready to hit the market probably in late 2013 or early 2014, a new crossover generation of the X-Trail is also getting ready to be introduced to its future owners. The model in question has recently leaked in patent drawings and thanks to these we can see an updated design of the popular model which brings it closer to its Japanese and German rivals.
The new generation of the Nissan X-Trail will be inspired by the Hi-Cross Concept unveiled almost a year ago during the 2012 Geneva Motor Show but it seems that not all the lines of the concept have been adopted by the production version. An updated engine lineup will also make its way onto the future X-Trail generation. Additional details on the model remain unknown for the moment and will probably announced sometimes this year during a major international automotive event, where the new X-Trail generation will be unveiled.
