The future generation of the Opel Corsa will be inspired by the Opel Astra GTC and the model will go into production in April 2014, hitting the market in the same year.
The German based automaker Opel might keep details about the future Corsa generation into the shadows for the moment but thanks to the guys at autocar.co.uk we now know that the new super mini will be inspired by the Opel Astra GTC. According to our source, the future generation of the Opel Corsa will get a new range of fuel efficient engines and it’s expected to weigh less than a tone in entry-level form.
The three-door version of the future generation Opel Corsa will be inspired from the Astra GTC and it will get an almost coupe-like profile, becoming sportier than the five-door variant. The front end of the upcoming Corsa will get large headlights and a slim chrome grille, again, inspired from the Astra GTC. The platform on which the model will be based is adaptable to various lengths and widths but it’s unlikely that the model will grow too much from the current size. The future Opel Corsa will go into production in April, 2014.
