The Japanese based automaker Subaru is previewing the next generation of the Legacy with its latest Advanced Tourer Concept which will be officially presented at the Tokyo Motor Show in December, along the production version of the BRZ and an “ultimate” version Impreza WRX STI named the S206.
According to Subaru, the Advanced Tourer Concept is “packing” the latest downsizing technology and the Japanese based automaker says that the vehicle is powered by a 1.6 liter, four-cylinder, turbocharged engine, mated to an electric motor, and the set-up is supposed to have the same power output as the 2.5 liter boxer powerplant but with improved fuel efficiency and CO2 emissions.
The Advanced Tourer Concept will also feature Subaru’s all-wheel drive system and the CVT transmission and the vehicle is 4.580 mm long, 1.840 mm wide and 1..430 mm tall. The interior design is featuring high-quality wood and metal and a monitor built into the steering wheel which apparently displays internet services and maps.
Sadly this is all we know for now about the Advanced Tourer Concept which is previewing the new generation of the Legacy but more details will be announced next month, when the vehicle will debut at the Tokyo Motor Show.
