The new limited series BMW M4 GTS is already bonkers, but it seems the aftermarket specialists know nothing of letting the factory have its way. So, here are some 615 hp and a top speed of more than 200 mph (320 km/h).
G-Power appears to cater for those few people (we hope they’re few) that will never be satisfied with anything – including the new M4 GTS. Because the tuner has already worked on the normal iterations of the M4, with powers ranging between 520 and 600 hp, it knows what it has to do in this case as well. They treat the M4 GTS to the B-Tronik 2 V3 upgrade, which includes among others an engine control unit remap for improved fueling, sparking and boost. Next up are the new turbos with larger turbines and compressors- more efficient while also dropping the level of exhaust gas temperatures and increasing boost pressure. The total power now stands at 615 hp and 560 pound-feet of torque – an improvement of 115 hp and 118 lb-ft over the standard GTS.
The 62 mph (100 km/h) sprint time has been reduced by 0.2 seconds to 3.6 seconds – not spectacular, but we imagine the added torque figure will be more relevant in the 50 – 100 mph mid-range acceleration times. Since you already paid a lot for the limited series M4 GTS and opted for the G-Power package you should go all in and also select the speed limiter removal option. That takes it from the original 190 mph mark to over 200 mph. More money can be thrown on the catalyst-free exhaust, lightweight, forged, 21-inch wheels – all options will have the update taken to €16,995 ($18,769).
