Tuning specialist G-Power has worked out a new aftermarket program suited to the needs of eager Mercedes-AMG S63 Coupe customers.
G-Power is actually well known for its modification prowess of BMW models, but this time around they decided to opt for the competition instead and focused their attention and skill on the Mercedes-AMG S63 Coupe. The Grand Tourer has gained the tuner’s Bi-Tronik 5 V1 power upgrade and the kit grants the biturbo 5.5-liter V8 new credentials: instead of the regular 585 horsepower (430 kilowatts) it now packs a bigger punch by reaching a muscular 705 hp (518 kW). Of course the torque has also been increased tremendously, from 664 pound-feet (900 Newton meters) to a monstrous 738 lb-ft (1,000 Nm). This much oomph is going to deliver better performance all-round – 0.1 seconds have been shaved off the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint time for a supercar-worthy 3.8 seconds. The maximum speed has also jumped to a good 205 mph (330 km/h) once the speed limiter has been removed.
The needed software comes via an installed plug & play unit that not only keeps all of the engine’s protections and diagnostic functions intact but also betters the throttle response. G-Power also said factory software updates can be had without any impact on the kit. The pricing for the Bi-Tronik 5 V1stands at €5,589 and potential buyers can also select the new 21-inch forged alloy wheel set for €7,373. If you’re feeling big then you can even opt for the 23-inch wheel design and optional diamond cut or high polished finish.
