Gemballa GT Spider going to 2013 Geneva Motor Show image

The aftermarket specialists at Gemballa have recently announced their plans to introduce the GT Spider next month, during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.

According to the tuning company, the Gemballa GT Spider is based on the McLaren 12C Spider and the model is coming with some interesting upgrades, like the carbon fiber body kit with its revised side skirts and new bumpers. The GT Spider can also get 20- and 21-inch wheels, front to rear, in either Black Magic or Gunmetal. Premium leather and Alcantara is being offered throughout the cabin, along with the instrument dials, which can be ordered in a few colors. The prices for this package have been set at a whopping 47,166 euros.

More details on the Gemballa GT Spider are limited for the moment and the tuning company didn’t even announce if there are any performance upgrades, but as a quick reminder, the standard version of the McLaren 12C Spider is getting the same 3.8 liter twin-turbo V6 engine as its brother, the MP4-12C, which is producing 625 PS. Power is being sent to the rear-wheel drive through a seven-speed SSG dual clutch transmission. The regular 12C Spider can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.1 seconds and the quarter mile is done in 10.8 seconds, at 216 km/h.
