Good news for those of you living in Switzerland or who will attend the 2013 Geneva Motor Show in search of a new powerful, small and fun car, because Abarth is obviously what you’ve been looking for. The Fiat in-house tuner has recently announced its plans to introduce the Abarth 695 Fuori Series and the Punto SuperSport during the Swiss automotive event.
“Within a complex scenario, Abarth has succeeded in achieving the goals set for 2012, hitting its target of 8000 on-road cars and nearly 4000 tuning kits sold in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asian areas”, says Abarth, while still hoping to sell some units in Geneva.
The Punto SuperSport will get a 1.4 liter MultiAir engine under its hood, which will generate 180 HP (132 kW) and 270 Nm of torque (199 lb-ft), mated to a six-speed manual transmission allowing the model to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 7.5 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 216 km/h (134 mph). More details on the Abarth models which will be unveiled in Geneva will be announced during the show.
