Aston Martin has recently unveiled the V12 Zagato at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.
The car which made its debut last month at the Kuwait Concours d’Elegance, was built using processes developed for the One-77 supercar. The model was built to celebrate 50 years since the launch of the DB4GT Zagato and comes in a limited edition of only 150 units, at the price of £396,000. Plenty of Zagato characteristics were incorporated in this model, such as the double-bubble roof, and the 3D grille made of interlocking ‘Z’ shapes. To assemble each car takes about 2,000 man-hours, therefore the spicy price.
Under the hood the V12 Zagato hides a 6.0-liter V-12, rated at 510 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque and mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. It reaches 0-60 mph in 4.2 seconds and a top speed of 190 mph. The inside design features Bridge of Weir leather, hand-stitched quilting and plenty of carbon fiber accents. Aston Martin offers the model in four unique colors: Scintilla Silver, Alloro Green, Alba Blue and Diavolo Red, and the painting of each car takes 100 hours.
