The aftermarket specialists at Gemballa have launched at the Geneva Motor Show an aerodynamic kit for the McLaren MP4-12C.
The package consists of a new front bumper, side skirts, rear apron and a small rear wing. All the parts are fitted to the factory mounting points so the owner can revert to the original bodywork at any time. According to Gemballa, these components give the car improved high-speed stability.
The car is equipped with forged 20-inch alloy wheels at the front and 21 inch at the rear, a size larger than the factory spec. The Gemballa GT McLaren weighs 1,434 kilograms and is powered by the same 3.8-liter V8 engine developing 608 horsepower.
“Our starting point is a aerodynamic styling kit and ultra-light forged alloy wheels, and we are developing an engine upgrade programme as well,” said Gemballa CEO Andreas Schwarz.
Gemballa says it is also developing a new power kit for the MP4-12C, which will grant an increase in performance too. Gemballa did not announce the price of their new MP4-12C program.
