The Spanish based automaker GTA has recently presented to the public the new Spano supercar during the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.
According to the car manufacturer, the Spano is a production version which is made from exotic material like the unibody shell constructed of titanium, Kevlar and carbon fiber, and thanks to the use of these materials, the overall weight of the supercar is just 2,970 pounds. Under the hood, the GTA Spano is coming with a rear-mounted 8.3 liter V10 engine which is developing a total output of 840 horsepower, sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed sequential transmission.
The GTA Spano can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds and it’s able to hit a top speed of 350 km/h (217 mph). The GTA Spano supercar has been fitted with an AP Racing brake system, which is coming with carbon-ceramic rotors grabbed by six-piston calipers, and the forced-air cooling are helping the brakes’ temperature to stay under control even at high speeds.
GTA Motor is expected to start deliveries of the Spano supercar later this year and the model is apparently in production already. Once it will hit the market, rumors say that the GTA Spano will cost 700,000 USD.
