Geneva Motor Show: Dacia Duster Essential previews new limited series editions image

The Romanian automaker, a wholly owned subsidiary of the French carmaker Renault, has presented during the ongoing Geneva motor show its new series of limited edition models.

On display was the Duster Essential, which will become available for the Swiss market. The budget automaker is on a roll – last year it posted the best ever sales and now the brand has also nailed a milestone on the Facebook social network. The Geneva motor show has brought as novelties the introduction of the Easy-R, the manufacturer’s first automated gearbox, on the dCi 90 diesel engine range and the announcement of the release of a new series of limited editions. The automated gearbox was initially launched late last year in conjunction with the TCe 90 Stop&Start petrol engine.

The Duster Essential on display was just one of them, as the special versions will be introduced for the Sandero, Logan, Logan MCV, Dokker and Lodgy models as well. The naming scheme will be variable and the moniker will actually result from the active involvement of the brand’s online community. They will all share their new body colour (Tourmaline Brown) and new alloy wheels, while other highlights will include specific badging and body colour bumpers. Inside the cabin the Bluetooth and USB connectivity, electric front windows and central locking will be offered as standard amenities. The special series will be available in Austria, Belgium, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Luxemburg, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
