Audi has recently pulled the wraps of the new RS6 Avant during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, in a premiere.
Even if the Audi RS6 Avant has already been unveiled back in 2012, the model didn’t get a chance to make its public debut and this has recently happened during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, where the powerful estate was brought. The 2013 Audi RS6 Avant is getting close to its future customers with the model recently entering production in the company’s Neckarsulm facility in Germany, as the carmaker has announced a few weeks ago.
The new generation of the Audi RS6 Avant is powered by a 4.0 liter twin-turbo V8 engine, replacing the previous naturally aspirated 5.2 liter unit, which is producing a total output of 560 HP (412 kW) and it has a peak torque of 700 Nm (516 lb-ft), mated to an eight-speed tiptronic transmission. Power is being sent to the Quattro all-wheel drive system and the RS6 Avant can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.9 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph), 280 km/h (174 mph) with the Dynamic Package or 305 km/h (190 mph) with the Dynamic Plus Package. The new Audi RS6 Avant is burning an average of 9.8 liters of fuel every 100 km.
