The North American based automaker Chevrolet has unveiled the brand new 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible, during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, in a world premiere.
The convertible version of the new Corvette generation was one of the most awaited cars of the whole event and it managed to attract quite a crowd. The interior design of the model has been improved and it’s coming with soft-touch materials, premium trimmings like the micro-suede, Nappa leather, aluminum, carbon fiber and more. The 2014 Corvette Convertible is also getting two eight-inch touch screen controls, amongst others.
Power to the convertible Corvette Stingray is being provided by the same 6.2 liter V8 engine used on the coupe, which is providing a total output of 450 HP and 450 lb-ft of torque (609 Nm), mated to a seven-speed manual or to an optional eight-speed automatic transmission. This is enough to allow the model to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in less than 4 seconds in its solid roof brother.
