Geneva Motor Show LIVE: 2014 Skoda Octavia and Octavia Combi

The Czech based automaker Skoda has recently unveiled the new Octavia generation, along with the Octavia Combi, during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, in a premiere.

The new generation of the Octavia has already been presented and the model is also available for order in several markets across the Old Continent, but while the regular version isn’t a surprise anymore, the Octavia Combi variant definitely is, even if the model has already been spied and it has even leaked. The new generation of the Skoda Octavia is 90 mm longer and 45 mm wider than the previous one, and the increase is mainly because Skoda had to leave room for the smaller Rapid.

The 2014 Skoda Octavia is coming with engine options such as the 1.8 liter TSI with 179 HP (132 kW) or the 1.6 liter TDI GreenLine with 110 HP (81 kW), which is burning just 3.4 liters of fuel every 100 km (83.0 mpg UK / 69.1 mpg US) and it’s emitting 89 g/km of CO2. The same engine lineup is also available for the new Octavia Combi generation. This version is also getting a manual and a DSG transmission, along with an all-wheel drive option.
