Geneva Motor Show LIVE: Alfa Romeo 4C

The final production version of the Alfa Romeo 4C has been officially presented to the public during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, in a world premiere.

The brand new Alfa Romeo 4C has managed to attract quite a few curios eyes during the Swiss automotive event, who have found out that this is the final production nversion of the car, which should hit the market later on this year on the Old Continent and over-seas too.

“The final version of the Alfa Romeo 4C makes its début at the 83rd International Motor Show in Geneva. This mid-engined rear-wheel drive coupé with two bucket seats represents the true essence of a sports car at the heart of Alfa Romeo’s DNA: performance, Italian style and technical excellence, offering maximum driving satisfaction in total safety”, as the carmaker says in its official press release.

The Alfa Romeo 4C is less than 400 cm long, 200 cm wide and just 118 cm tall, riding on a wheelbase of less than 2.4 meters. The model is powered by a 1.75 liter four-cylinder mid-mounted turbocharged engine, the same one found on the Giulietta Quadrifoglio Verde, which is producing a total output of 237 BHP. The unit is mated to a twin-clutch TCT transmission, with steering wheel paddle shifters, which is sending power to the rear-wheel drive, allowing the model to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.5 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph). First deliveries will begin in September.
